The Commercial Units have a 1 3/8" OD, heavy-duty powder coated steel frame with straight legs. The heavy-duty trusses are made with reinforced steel, 0.8mm (20 gauge), not fiberglass flex rods.  The legs are 0.9mm (19 guage).  The top is made of 500 denier polyester with PVC coating.

The first rain we had the canopy collected water and broke two of the plastic connections for the trusses. One in the center and one on the side. This then let the water build up more and bent both legs at the top.
For a sun shade it's ok but nothing else.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
